About Net & Systems
Engineering experience shaped by real operations.
Net & Systems is a Chattanooga-area software and technology company focused on custom business software, systems integration and long-term technical support.
Our background
From original development to fourteen years of continuity.
Our principal developed core business applications and databases while working within a U.S. manufacturing company, gaining hands-on experience with software supporting order entry, production workflows, shipping, operational data, and web-based reporting.
After that employment ended in 2012, the manufacturer retained Net & Systems to provide ongoing independent support for its client-owned applications, databases, reporting systems, and facility technology. That relationship has continued since 2012, giving us long-term experience supporting business-critical systems well beyond their initial development and deployment.
Our ongoing support has included application and database support, web-based reporting systems for manufacturer’s representatives and customers, maintaining and upgrading in-house software applications, troubleshooting, and on-site technical assistance when required.
That experience continues to shape how we work today. We begin by understanding the business process and the systems already in place, protect continuity during change, respect clear ownership and intellectual-property boundaries, and design solutions that can be maintained and supported for the long term.
Understand before replacing
Existing systems often contain years of business rules that are not written anywhere else.
Integrate before disrupting
Modernization should improve operations without creating unnecessary production risk.
Support what we build
Long-term reliability and maintainability matter as much as the initial delivery.
Ownership and confidentiality
Client systems remain client systems.
Software created while employed by a client remains that client's property. Net & Systems' value is its engineering experience, support knowledge, transition capability and new work delivered under current agreements. Independent products, including PAT Designer, are developed and licensed separately.
